I 'M EMMA
First and foremost I’m a mum to three amazing girls. Ultimately they are the drive behind me setting up this website for you guys. I say “for you guys”, but maybe it’s as much for me as it is for you!
I’m sitting writing this from my new home in the beautiful Devon countryside. I live on a farm, in my humble opinion, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
I 'M EMMA
First and foremost, I’m a proud mum to three amazing girls who inspire me every day. They’re the heartbeat behind this website, driving me to share what I’ve learned with all of you. Truthfully, though, this site is as much for me as it is for you—a space for us to grow together.
As I write this, I’m nestled in my home on a farm in the stunning Devon countryside, surrounded by what I believe to be one of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes.
MOOOO!
I am lucky enough to be woken up every morning (not just by the kids), but by the bleating of lambs and the mooing of cows (not everyone’s cup of tea but for me its pure heaven).
However, I wasn’t always this fortunate….
A little under two years ago we were living just outside London in a town called Leigh-on-sea, in Essex. I had been living Essex for the best part of forty years and life there was great. All of our friends and family lived nearby. We had a great social life, there was always a party to go to or some sort of family get together taking place.
But, something didn’t feel quite right…
the big 40
At age forty, living in Essex just didn’t feel like home anymore, or at least the home I wanted it to be. London was ever-expanding. Where I used to walk down our local high street and know everybody, it was gradually changing and losing the friendly feeling it once had.
Lots of people were moving down to Leigh-on-Sea from London and our little town was adopting a faster pace of life.
I felt like life was passing me by way too quickly and I was desperate for it to slow down.
My home town was rapidly changing right before my very eyes and I started to feel different about the place where I grew up. I craved a slower pace of life and wanted a less busy environment where I could raise the kids.
Many times in the past, myself and my partner Matt had spoken about moving abroad. We both travelled the world in our twenties and dreamt of emigrating one day. The main stumbling block for us in a move like this was leaving our family behind, especially the grandparents!
Beautiful bovey
Work took me up and down the country and on one of my trips to the South-West of England, I stopped over at Bovey Castle, Dartmoor, Devon. Wow… what a place, quite simple stunning!
I remember rushing back home after a working weekend away and asking Matt if Devon could be a potential for us as a relocation. In a heartbeat his reply was ‘Yes’… and that was it. We set the wheels in motion and made it happen.
When I decide on something generally there’s no stopping me. Fast forward 18 months and here I am!
We now live in South Devon with rolling green hills as far as the eye can see and some of the country’s most beautiful beaches on our doorstep.
My kids go to a local village school, a tenth of the size of their Essex school. Myself and Matt both work from home and life is just where we it to be…. dreams can come true!

YBR is here to encourage you, build your confidence and help you to gain clarity and focus on what it is that you really want.
Why Yellow Brick Roads?
Moving to a new town means building new connections, making new friends and a lot of trial and error. It’s a fresh start and an opportunity to really embrace the real you, doing all the things that align with your values and beliefs.
Being around new people gave me clarity and I started to see patterns emerging. I noticed how many women, in general, struggle with their confidence and suffer with anxiety. This was the reason I created ‘Yellow Brick Roads’.

My Inspiration
In 2018 I lost a dear friend to Cancer, she was (and still is) a shinning star and her colour was yellow.
One of my favourite childhood films was (and still is) ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and just like Glinda the ‘Good Witch’, I believe that dreams can come true!
All the characters in the movie teach us a valuable lesson. ‘Lion’ is looking for courage and strength, ‘Tin Man’ is after love and connection and ‘Scarecrow’ knows that knowledge and wisdom create opportunity.
‘Yellow Brick Roads’ is here to help women who struggle with their confidence, self belief, have lost their sense of purpose and who doubt their abilities.
When we change our behaviours, create positive habits and work on our thinking, amazing things can happen. We all need a little Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in our life!
I spend the majority of my time helping women get past their challenges, grow in confidence and create a beautiful life for themselves and those they love.
Let me help take you along your own ‘Yellow Brick Road’ to the life that you desire.
